Our aim is the creation of a central platform for visualizing historical events. The WIKISTORIA-project wants to serve as a mediator between groups and institutions, which share into the project. Already in the planning phase we aim for a direct contact between software-producers, historians and the end user, incorporating and realizing the hints and experience of all parties concerned.

In order to safeguard the quality of the results of the WIKISTORIA-project, right from the beginning we aim for a very close co-operation with established historical and pedagogical institutions. The co-operation entails both the final presentation of the results, as well as agreements in the run-up, as far as the functionality of the software is concerned, in addition to the project's demands under historical and pedagogical aspects.

Producing the software poses some technical challenge. In order to make sure that these are solved in the best way posssible, to the state of the art, we work together with universities on a conceptional and practical level, as far as informatics is concerned.

The worked out functionalities and requirements as regards the software are implemented on the basis of the scientific, technical concepts, while programming. We seek the co-operation of reputable software-companies, in order to obtain a user-friendly, as well as functional WIKISTORIA-software.
